Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar, is an esteemed technical institution located in Kokrajhar, Assam, India. It was established in 19 December,2006 as one of the premier institutes under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act., 1860 and functions under a Board of Governors (BOG).It operates under the mentorship of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and receives substantial support from the Government of India.
CIT Kokrajhar encourages its students to balance their academics and co-curricular activities. This allows for an all-round development, as evidenced by the numerous projects undertaken and the participation in sports and cultural events. This is evident from the wide repositories of projects that they have done as well as their participation in sports and cultural events.The institute also encourages the students to showcase their research in national conferences and workshops. The students work as Teaching Assistants, guiding and aiding the students in the batches that are junior to them.
